A terrarium is a slice of natural habitat recreated for your enjoyment within a container.
A paludarium is terrarium that mimics the natural meeting place of land and water and contains a water element. For example a river bank habitat. In the photo here you can see a Jungle T.V. paludarium that I created for my own home gym.
